Conditions Camping Le Prahay
We would like to extend a warm welcome to you at our campsite, Le Prahay, in Poupehan.

Opening hours
Reception: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Reception
The reception offers information about the local area. There is also a small shop where you can buy everyday essentials such as water, milk, eggs, pasta, sauces, etc. You can order fresh bread daily via the bread app. Please place and pay for your order before 5:00 PM; otherwise, it will not be included for the following morning! You can pick up your bread from the canteen starting at 9:00 AM.
Showers
Each paying guest is entitled to 5 minutes of showering per day. You can use the start/stop button to pause the water while soaping up, helping us conserve water.
WiFi
WiFi is free. Network: Le Prahay; Password: Poupehan.
Waste
Waste must be sorted into the designated containers at the central collection point. Please flatten paper and cardboard boxes. Only small household waste is permitted; bulky waste is not accepted. Please do not deposit trash bags in the bins scattered around the campsite; trash bags belong at the central waste collection area.
Washing, drying, and dishwashing
Coin-operated washing machines and dryers are available at both sanitary facilities. A dishwashing area is also provided; please use a washing-up bowl and do not leave the tap running unnecessarily, in order to conserve water.
Barbecues/fire pits
Barbecues and fire pits are permitted, provided a protective mat is placed underneath to protect the grass or the units are sufficiently elevated. If you need extra wood, it is available at reception. Gathering firewood on the campsite grounds is not allowed. Naturally, barbecuing or open fires are prohibited during any fire ban caused by dry weather. You can rent fire pits/barbecues or purchase extra wood at reception (cash payment only).
Quiet hours
Please respect the quiet time (from 10:00 PM) and silence (from 11:00 PM); music and loud noise are not permitted at any time of day. Speakers or other audio devices are not allowed.
Dogs
Please keep your dog on a leash throughout the campsite grounds.
Dogs must be walked outside the campsite. If an accident occurs on the campsite, please clean it up.
Cars
Vehicles must be driven at a walking pace only (10 km/h); small children play and run around the campsite—this is not a regular public road!
If speeding is observed, you may be banned from driving on the campsite and required to park your vehicle outside the grounds. The same applies if multiple cars are found at a single camping pitch.
Surroundings
Please leave stones and pebbles where they are—both on the paths and in the river. This is to prevent damage to camping equipment and mowing machinery.
Electric car
You may use the charging stations available at the campsite to charge your electric car. It is strictly prohibited to charge your electric car using the power outlet at your pitch!
Civil liability
Management accepts no liability for any accidents, damage, or loss involving you or your property during your stay, or while your belongings are located in the building or on the premises.

General Terms and Conditions
1. Application of general terms and conditions
1.1 These general terms and conditions apply to all offers, reservation requests, and agreements concluded with Camping Le Prahay regarding camping pitches and tents rented out by Camping Le Prahay.
1.2 Camping Le Prahay expressly rejects the application of any other general terms and conditions.
1.3 Exceptions to these general terms and conditions are only possible if the parties have agreed to them in writing.
2 Reservation
2.1 Camping Le Prahay only processes reservation requests from persons aged 18 and older.
Camping Le Prahay reserves the right to refuse a reservation request without stating a reason.
2.2 Reservations can be made via the website, by telephone, or at the reception.
2.3 The agreement between Camping Le Prahay and the renter is concluded the moment Camping Le Prahay sends the reservation confirmation—which also serves as the invoice—to you by post or email, provided that you receive the confirmation within 10 days.
2.4 The renter must check the reservation confirmation for accuracy. Any inaccuracies must be reported to Camping Le Prahay immediately. If you have not received a written confirmation/invoice within 10 days of making the reservation, you must contact the reception immediately; failure to do so means the reservation cannot be claimed.
2.5 The renter shall make a payment (50%) to Camping Le Prahay upon reservation and pay the remaining balance 14 days prior to arrival.
Camping Le Prahay is entitled to consider the agreement null and void if it does not receive the agreed (partial) payment within 14 days. In such a case, Camping Le Prahay reserves the right to release the reserved pitch or tent to other parties without further notice to the renter and to charge the renter cancellation fees.
2.6 The agreement concerns the rental of a pitch or tent for recreational use, which is by nature short-term.
3 Changes to the reservation/agreement
3.1 Camping Le Prahay is not obliged to make changes to the agreement at the renter's request after the agreement has been concluded. If Camping Le Prahay does implement a change, it has the right to charge the renter a modification fee, amounting to a minimum of 10 euros per change.
3.2 In the event of changes involving a partial cancellation (e.g., shortening the reserved period or early departure) or a full cancellation, the cancellation terms and conditions apply.
4 Prices
4.1 The tenant owes Camping Le Prahay the agreed rental price as stated on the final reservation confirmation.
4.2 Prices are listed on the Camping Le Prahay website.
4.3 Unforeseen, demonstrable price increases may be passed on to the tenant. All prices in the price list, brochures, and on the website are subject to change.
4.4 Any discount promotions do not apply to existing or previously made bookings.
5 Security Deposit
5.1 A security deposit is required for certain rental accommodations. The deposit amount is stated on your confirmation. The deposit will be refunded upon departure (during reception opening hours), provided that:
- The rental accommodation is left tidy and clean;
- The inventory and accommodation remain complete and undamaged;
- No nuisance has been caused to other Camping Le Prahay guests or nearby residents.
- If damage to the accommodation or the cost of missing inventory exceeds the deposit amount, the difference must be paid before departure.
6 Payment
6.1 Upon reservation, the tenant must pay a deposit of 50% of the total amount. The remaining balance is due 14 days prior to arrival.
6.2 If a reservation is made within two weeks of arrival, the full amount must be paid immediately.
6.3 The tenant is not entitled to a (partial) refund of the rental amount if they depart before the agreed departure date. 6.4 Camping Le Prahay reserves the right to cancel the reservation and make the pitch or tent available for rental to others without further notice to the renter if a payment deadline has passed and the renter has failed to meet their obligations.
6.5 Camping Le Prahay reserves the right to terminate the agreement without the need for a formal notice of default or judicial intervention—with the understanding that the renter shall be liable for any damages Camping Le Prahay incurs as a result—if:
- The rental fee has not been paid (in full or in part) by the start of the rental period; default occurs immediately in this instance.
- The renter vacates the pitch or tent prematurely.
- The renter fails to occupy the rented accommodation on the scheduled start date (outside the agreed arrival time) without having notified Camping Le Prahay that the rented pitch or tent will be occupied at a later time during the rental period.
6.6 Camping Le Prahay reserves the right at all times to offset any claims against the renter—on any grounds whatsoever—against amounts paid by the renter—on any grounds whatsoever.
7 Changeover days / stay
7.1 Rented camping pitches may be occupied from 14:00 to 21:00 and must be left clean upon departure by 12:00. Tents may be occupied from 15:00 and must be left clean upon departure by 10:00.
7.2 Camping Le Prahay reserves the right to conduct a final inspection of the camping pitch or tent on the day of departure from 09:00 onwards to check its condition and completeness; Camping Le Prahay reserves the right to charge for any damage found.
8 House rules
8.1 Guests must comply with the rules established by Camping Le Prahay, including those set out in the camping regulations. Camping Le Prahay reserves the right to have the renter and their travel companions removed from the campsite immediately if house rules are violated or instructions from the owners/staff are not followed. In such cases, the renter is not entitled to a refund of (any part of) the rental fee.
8.2 Camping Le Prahay reserves the right to request a valid form of identification from the renter upon check-in.
8.3 Camping Le Prahay reserves the right to make changes to the layout and opening hours of the campsite facilities. The renter must allow necessary maintenance to be carried out on the rented accommodation during the rental period. The renter is not entitled to any form of compensation. Camping Le Prahay determines the necessity of maintenance. The tenant also agrees to allow maintenance work to be carried out on the campsite facilities during their stay.
8.4 The tenant shall use the pitch or tent solely as holiday accommodation.
8.5 The tenant must grant Camping Le Prahay staff direct access to the rented pitch at all times.
8.6 The tenant may not sublet or transfer the use of the rented pitch or tent to others, nor allow more people to stay overnight than were specified at the time of booking and stated on the booking confirmation.
Camping Le Prahay reserves the right to terminate the agreement immediately and without judicial intervention if it discovers that the agreed number of persons occupying the pitch or tent has been exceeded.
9 Pets
9.1 You are permitted to bring your dog to the pitch.
9.2 Dogs must be kept on a leash on the pitch and throughout the grounds. Dogs must not cause a nuisance to other guests.
10 Force Majeure
10.1 Force majeure on the part of Camping Le Prahay exists if the performance of the agreement is prevented, in whole or in part (whether temporarily or otherwise), by circumstances beyond Camping Le Prahay’s control; this includes, in any event, blockades, fire, and other disruptions or events. Camping Le Prahay is entitled to provide the renter with an equivalent replacement camping pitch or tent if the rented pitch or tent is unavailable due to force majeure or other circumstances. In such a case, the renter shall have no legal recourse against Camping Le Prahay.
11 Liability
11.1 Camping Le Prahay accepts no liability for theft, loss, or damage regarding property or persons—of any nature whatsoever—during or as a result of a stay at our campsite.
11.2 Camping Le Prahay accepts no liability if the stay at the campsite does not meet the renter's expectations.
11.3 Camping Le Prahay accepts no liability for damage to property or injury to persons resulting from a stay on the Camping Le Prahay premises or arising from the use of facilities located on the premises.
11.4 Camping Le Prahay is not liable for claims for damages arising from noise nuisance caused by third parties.
11.5 Camping Le Prahay is not liable for damage resulting from information provided verbally or by telephone by any employees.
11.6 The layout/arrangement of the camping pitches and tents may vary.
12 Complaints
12.1 Despite the care and effort put in by Camping Le Prahay, you may still have a complaint. Complaints must be reported immediately to the campsite reception.
12.2 Belgian law applies to all agreements between the tenant and Camping Le Prahay.
13 Cancellation Policy
13.1 The fees payable by the tenant to Camping Le Prahay in the event of cancellation are as follows:
- For cancellations 93 days or more prior to arrival: 15% of the total rental amount
- For cancellations 62 to 93 days prior to arrival: 50% of the total rental amount
- For cancellations 31 to 62 days prior to arrival: 75% of the total rental amount
- For cancellations 14 to 31 days prior to arrival: 90% of the total rental amount
- For cancellations from the day of arrival up to 14 days prior to arrival: 100% of the total rental amount
Cancellations must be made in writing.
14 Photos and videos
14.1 If a guest, a person accompanying them, a person present at the campsite due to their actions, or a day visitor incidentally appears in a photo or video taken for inclusion in a Camping Le Prahay publication or for display on a Camping Le Prahay website, their consent to the use of said photo or video in the publication or video is presumed, even if they are recognizable in the photo or video.
15 General
Obvious printing or typographical errors are not binding on Camping Le Prahay. These general terms and conditions supersede all previous publications. In these terms and conditions, references to a "stay" refer to a camping pitch or a tent.
